ABOUT
Hi, I'm Sarah Ruth, a 2024 UNC Chapel Hill graduate aspiring to work in fashion and eventually become a business owner. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, boating, shopping, traveling, crafting, and doing yoga. I also love to cook and try new foods!
COLLEGE
At UNC, I studied Advertising and Public Relations with a concentration in Fashion Marketing and Communications through The Hussman School of Media and Journalism. In the 'Fashion Mash' program, I worked on a year-long project focusing on sustainability within the fashion industry. This project included conducting research, ideation, and product design sessions before hosting an experiential pop-up event and fashion show.
POST GRAD
Following graduation, I traveled to Prato, Italy, with NC State University to document the processes that global leaders use to move forward with innovative textile recycling and sustainability efforts, ensuring longevity in the fashion industry.
WORK
Now, I am gaining firsthand experience at Vert & Vogue, a certified B-corp business focusing on personal styling and independent design. In my time here as a Personal Stylist, I realized my intense desire to gain a business perspective through further schooling. Learning the processes of thoughtful client relations, styling, and merchandising from amazing people at an exceptional store has brought me so much joy as I prepare to pursue graduate school for a Master's in Fashion Business.
